Aunque todavía faltan un par de meses para el lanzamiento oficial de Mafia III, hoy 2K Games ha presentado la lista de temas que compondrán la banda sonora del juego. En ella encontramos un total de más de 100 pistas musicales que nos sumergirán de lleno en la época en la que transcurre el juego, años 60 y 70, todo ello gracias a temas de intérpretes tan famosos como Elvis Presley , The Animals, Johnny Cash o The Rolling Stones.

Mafia III nos situará en el mundo abierto de New Bordeaux en 1968, una reimaginada Nueva Orleans llena de actividad y de coches de época, moda y música. Tras pasar años combatiendo en Vietnam, Lincoln Clay ha llegado a esta conclusión: la familia no son aquellos con los que has nacido, sino aquellos por los que estás dispuesto a morir. De vuelta a casa, en New Bordeaux, Lincoln se propone escapar de un pasado criminal. Pero cuando su familia adoptiva, la mafia negra, es traicionada y aniquilada por los mafiosos italianos, Lincoln levanta una nueva familia sobre las cenizas de la anterior y emprende un camino de venganza y redención para acabar con el responsable. Serán necesarios intensos tiroteos, despiadadas luchas a puñetazos, conducción temeraria y sabiduría callejera. Pero con el equipo adecuado, la fortaleza necesaria para tomar decisiones duras y la voluntad de ensuciarse las manos, es posible llegar a lo más alto de los bajos fondos.
